His love was pure His intentions true She saw him as an object, something to do It was his fault that caused him such pain He knew she was only playing a game He knew he was a pawn to this beauteous Queen He knew her wrath was terrible and yet to be seen But he could not leave this wretched girl With ocean blue eyes and blonde hair in gentle curl He thought he could change her, make her good Nothing worked though he tried all her could One day she could stand him no more And wanted things as they were before Just when she thought she could not stand his sight Her old boyfriend rescued her, like a brave shinning knight The boy could not stand losing his Queen and wanted her back He was in misery, but soon thought of a plan, and waited to act When she came home one day she found a not on the door frame “ Oh, love of mine, I only have you to blame. You left me for him, but remain in my head Please tell me to my face, if our love is truly dead.” She sent her knight to him instead And he fired a single shot Which struck the pawn in the head He wasn’t expecting this Nor was he expecting the impossible bliss For he was finally freed, by death’s fiery kiss. |
